Nice and pleasant place. You can ride the boat (electric or pedal) in the lake. You don’t need any license for that. Overall electric boat rent is 14€ for 30 minutes, with maximum capacity of 4 people. They provided umbrellas as well for free of charge.

It's beautiful place. Free parking. Near is little fastfood with good sausages 😋, tourism the trails around the lake are very clean and the route markings are very good

Beautiful place.. the forest is absolutely dark green in the summer. You can also take a small picnic and have one by the lake.

Electricity generation station, one of many in the Black Forest area. It has created a lake for various forms of entertainment. Its possible to walk across the dam to the other side and return.

Beautiful place also when it is raining. Close to it there is a terrace where you can eat something and enjoy the view.

Birds! Pleasantly surprised to come upon this dam while taking a driving tour of the Black Forest. It is free to walk across the dam. Swallows nest here and they were really active so that was fun to watch. There are two large parking lots and one had lots of cars but we didn’t see any people. We did see a couple people fishing in the lake and there is a major hiking trail on the far side of the dam so maybe that was where everyone was. Near the big lot are two food/drink shacks, they were not open when we arrived but the workers were getting them set up. There was a port-a-john but it was locked, maybe the food vendors open it? Worth the stop to stretch our legs and see the scenery. The signage about the dams in the Black Forest was also interesting.
