What a great place to visit. Feels like you are on a different planet. Great to go with kids and even the elderly as it is fairly easily walkable. The total walk in the cave is 600m one way and of course the same way back. Lots of stopping in the middle to rest. The tour guides usually only speak German so it's handy to have the English pamphlets available from the reception at hand.

Please consider that the guided tours have limited capacity and you can only enter the cave in a tour. They start on a full hour, so if you miss one, you should wait an hour

The cave was wonderful. I was at first disappointed that I did not see the evil Gollum but then realized he was working in the ticket booth. The ticket booth attendant was completely unfriendly!

I'm not writing the review about the experience in the caves, as these are nice as others photos and reviews have shown. I'm writing a review about the experience we had with the staff members, in particular the chap on the tills. I don't think I've experienced such an unpleasant, arragant and rude person. We hadn't booked tickets online, which would have avoided such an experience, but hey ho, sometimes life doesn't pan out quite like that, and there is a till and chance still to buy a ticket at the gate. But if like us (and the other families that arrived without an online ticket) don't then expect a fair que system, as the guy on the till chooses who goes in when, as it's 'his choice' of which customer gets tickets first, regardless of who was there first. Advisable to book tickets online to avoid this chaps dictorial style.

A small but uber-nice cave that is a must see for all visiting the area.
Most Germans have visited this cave as a school trip at soke point or other and it is absolutely memorable.
Go see, and bring a long sleeve or pullover even during the hottest summer days.
Nature is marvellous.

Interesting experience all together, the site offers a 1 hour tour of the cave (held in German, at least upon our visit, so for those who don't know the language it would be pretty useless) but the cave itself is interesting and there is information available in English on the panels just before entering the cave. However, in July the temperature inside the cave was of only 11°C so having an extra set of clothes is advisable
Entrance fee is 4€ for adults

The place itself is great... unfortunately the tour guide was rushing the whole group. It felt like running through the cave... no time to make pictures or to enjoy some specific places inside. Also not all places are available due to corona.
