Alpenlodges - Schönau am Königssee

Wir hatten im März einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt hier, den wir sehr genossen haben! Der Außenbereich des Hauses und das von uns gebuchte Chalet (Lärche) waren durchdacht gestaltet und hochwertig sowie modern-gemütlich eingerichtet. Der Zirbenholzduft, die Sauna, der Whirlpool und natürlich der Bergblick haben sehr schnell für Entspannung gesorgt trotz unseres recht kurzen Aufenthalts (in der Nebensaison auf Anfrage möglich). Wir haben an beiden Abenden gekocht, hierfür war die Küche gut ausgestattet hinsichtlich (Koch-)Geschirr usw. Schön fanden wir zudem die kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten in der Wohnung (u.a. Wein und Schokolade zur Begrüßung, verschiedene Aufgüsse und Bademäntel für die Sauna). Die Lage in Schönau ist zudem super für diverse Ausflugsziele - zum Königssee konnten wir z. B. so einfach in einem längerem Spaziergang laufen.
Der Kontakt zur Gastgeberin verlief immer schnell, freundlich und unkompliziert.

Insgesamt haben wir uns im Chalet sehr wohlgefühlt - auch wenn das Angebot nicht günstig ist, war es für uns genau das Richtige für eine tolle Auszeit als Paar (in diesem Fall als Geburtstagsüberraschung).

I stayed in this place for a month and I wouldnt stay again. Interestingly, it appears to be a mutual sentiment. The owners have an odd attitude to the concept of hospitality. My stay was due to a sad family emergency and not for vacation. I contacted this place because I figured it’s new and one might be able to negotiate a discount. I ended up paying about 4500EUR for the month for a well equipped 1-BR apartment. Not cheap but the area is generally quite pricey. From the start I was certain that I would need regular cleaning since I had to go to the hospital daily and also keep up with work. I was told that they are struggling to find personnel but that they would try to find a solution, at least once a week. It would be charged extra. In my whole four weeks there I had exactly one round of cleaning. At some point I started wondering what they would have done if they had not had a single client there for a month, but rather a different one each week. Certainly they would have had to clean every week. The explanation I got in the end was that the last of my three payments arrived late. Yet it still arrived well before my departure time and bank transfers were complicated for me since I dont reside in Europe. Unfortunately they dont have card payment. In the end, I received an email from the owner “that they are disappointed how little I appreciate their willingness to let me stay” and I was flabbergasted. Most of the days I was the only party in the entire lodge and I paid a good amount. I am sorry but an owner who thinks they are the ones who are to be appreciated instead of their paying guest has rather difficult prospects. Moreover, the apartment had issues. The shower floods the entire bathroom and bedroom after five minutes of running and the living room, where the only bathroom with a toilet is, has a glass front with workers passing by. Gardeners for example. So on a beautiful morning you might be on your way to the toilet with a toothbrush in your mouth and a bathing gown on only to be waved hi by a worker. Not the privacy I expected in a “luxury” apartment and certainly hanging some curtains isnt difficult. And many other requests were ignored. When I had friends visiting we needed extra bedding. Nill. Wifi was intermittent and couldnt be used for important meetings. Asked for improvement. Nothing. In the end I had to rent a conference room in of the good hotels around to run a webinar online without being kicked out. 250euros cost but of course not their problem. Oh and then there was the parking. The basement apartment doesnt have a roofed parking bay but rather requires the guest to park next to the trash bins in a super inconvenient parking spot. At some point I got tired of that too. Only to then get reminded pedantically that this is the spot that comes with the apartment no matter whether other parties are around or not. Gosh, I was so happy to leave.

Wir haben Mitte April einen mehrtägigen Aufenthalt in der Lodge Zirbe gehabt und sind mehr als begeistert. Man sieht dem gesamten Haus die Mühe an, welche Frau Goebel sich beim Hausbau und der Einrichtung gemacht hat. Absolut hochwertiger Urlaub zum fairen Preis, sehr sehr nette Gastgeber und eine Unterkunft die keinerlei Wünsche offen lässt. Wir kommen wieder!

Wir waren für einige Tage zum Wandern da mit insgesamt 8 Personen. Hierfür hatten wir die Appartments Zirbe und Wildeiche gebucht. Zirbe bietet Schlafplatz für 6 Personen, ggfs weitere durch Zustellbetten. Das Appartment ist aber so großzügig, insbesondere Wohnzimmer und Terrasse, dass man auch mit 8 Personen wunderbar Kochen und Abenxe verbringen kann.
Die Appartments sind neu, in sehr gutem Zustand, aus schönen, ortsüblichen Naturmaterialien gebaut, was eine sehr heimelige und gemütliche Atmosphäre schafft. Checkin und Checkout sind problemlos möglich über eine Schlüsselbox. Elektroautos kann man ganz einfach laden über eine der drei (!) Wallboxen, dafür die Ladekarte bestellen.
Insgesamt war es ein toller Aufenthalt, wir kommen nächstes Jahr wieder!

Ein echtes Zuhause auf Zeit: Wir verbrachten fünf Tage als Paar in diesem modern-rustikalen Apartment in Schönau, unweit des Königssees. Die Ausstattung ist hochwertig bis ins Detail – so, als würde man selbst hier wohnen: Massivholz, Naturstein, Feinsteinzeuggeschirr, OLED-TV…. Alles war makellos sauber; es fehlte an nichts. Zur Begrüßung standen Wein, Schoki und Kerzen bereit, perfekt für romantische Abende mit eigenem Whirlpool und Sauna. Wander- und Bike-Touren starten vor der Haustür, alle Ausflugsziele der Region sind schnell erreicht. Bäcker, Metzger und kleine Läden liegen nur 5–10 Gehminuten entfernt. Der Kontakt war seriös, herzlich und unkompliziert; eine defekte Kaffeemaschine wurde binnen Stunden ersetzt. Ein rundum entspannter Aufenthalt – wir kommen gern wieder, nächstes Mal mit der Familie.
